Covid-19 Re-opening Process
Phase I
After the Coronovirus Shelter-in-Place order was lifted by Governor Kate Brown for Multnomah Co. on June 19, Multnomah Co. entered Phase I of the re-opening of business. In keeping with this, and any subsequent government announcement, the Summerplace Board of Directors has decided to re-open our facilities, subject to the following conditions:
-
The pool, spas, and showers will continue to remain closed.
-
Drinking fountains in the clubhouse have been temporarily disabled.
-
Coffee service in the clubhouse ballroom is temporarily suspended.
-
Residents are asked to wear a face covering at all times when using the clubhouse, unless it is medically unfeasible.
-
The HOA Office will remain locked although our staff will be working.
-
Access to the HOA Office is by appointment only for those transactions that may not be accomplished by telephone or email.
-
In the event a resident chooses to use the exercise rooms, the resident must use the provided disinfecting wipes to wipe down the equipment before and after use.
-
Social distancing of six feet (6 ft.) must be maintained at all times.
-
No gathering may exceed a total of 25 individuals.
The Board of Directors will continue, however, to discourage our residents from using the clubhouse facilities as a proactive, protective measure despite Multnomah County’s move to Phase I. Our janitorial service has returned to the regular three days-a-week schedule, but such a schedule cannot guarantee a high degree of cleanliness under these extraordinary conditions.
Residents who choose to use the common facilities do so at their own risk. This virus is highly contagious and virulent; we are committed to taking every possible step to ensure the health and well-being of the entire Summerplace community. We hope Summerplace residents will want to do their part, too.
